Not sure about this track. It may just be the fact that it’s weird to hear a MJ track that and not know it word for word, forwards & back. But what I do know, is the “This Is It” Tour was going to be insane. I truly believe MJ was on his way to a big comeback. Long live the King!
Got a chance to hear Mario’s new CD “D.N.A” that’s set to hit selves tomorrow. As a whole, I’m not really feeling it. My favorite tracks are “Break Up” with Gucci Mane & Sean Garrett (which we’ve all heard enough times) & this “Stranded” track. I was really hoping the version of “Before She Said Hi” that I heard around the internets last week was an unfinished version of the song, but was sadly mistaken. That song has potential to be good, but it just sounds so unfinished to me. Vocals are low, just all bad in my opinion. Which is unfortunate because it features one of my favorite artists right now, Big Sean. But to each their own, check it out.
New track off of Royce Da 5’9′s upcoming album “Street Hop”. This track features Little Brother’s/Foreign Exchange’s Phonte & is produced by DJ Premeir. “Street Hop” is due out October 20th.
The entries are in for the “Oh S#!t Ro Spit” Album artwork contest. You can check out all the entries at over at RoSpit. Take a minute to tell Ro & company what your favorites are. No bias right? Riiiiiiight. Shout out to Ro & the good folks at Burn Rubber in Detroit.
New track from Earlly Mac. You probably know him from “Hollywood” & “Mr. Incredible” from the “UKNOWBIGSEAN” mixtape. If you don’t have that mixtape you’re well….you’re losing! Do your ears a favor & grab it, you won’t be sorry. Shout out to Finally Famous.
Not too sure what this is from or what it will be on but it’s dope nonetheless & makes me look forward to his new album even more. I’ve always thought Lupe was super lyrical and this track doesn’t make me feel any different. I think the Jimi Hendrix sample was pulled off nicely. Enjoy!
I know I’m crazy late with this post but I figure better late than never. Here’s Episode 1 of Mike Posner’s “One Foot Out The Door” series. I’m really looking forward to his new mixtape due out later this month on iTunes. His “Matter Of Time” (which is also available right now on iTunes) mixtape still gets heavy rotation from me. The two tracks featured in this video sound incredible. I hope some of you people stop hitting the snooze button on Michigan’s music scene ASAP.
